The driveway has gone green again, and somebody nearby is asking who cleans that.

The work isn’t going to the cheapest truck. It’s sitting in posts that read like somebody grumbling about their own concrete, and it’s won by whoever answers first with a straight number. Meadowrank reads them, so you don’t have to, scores the ones that are real, and drafts the reply in your voice. You send three. That’s the whole goal for the day.

What pressure washing demand actually looks like on Reddit

A homeowner who needs a driveway cleaned doesn’t go looking for a pressure washing company. They go looking for a verdict: whether the green comes off concrete or has to wear off, whether a roof can be washed without taking the life out of the shingles, what the going rate is for a two-story house around here. So the post reads like somebody thinking out loud in front of their neighbors, with a photograph of the worst corner attached and a question at the end that never quite becomes an ask. That photograph is a quote request. It just hasn’t been addressed to anybody yet.

On the latest pass, eleven of the twenty-two lit threads held somebody describing the state of a surface with no ask attached to it: concrete gone green down the shaded half, black streaks running one side of a roof, siding a homeowner scrubbed by hand and quit on halfway along. Eight went straight at the question: who around here washes houses, what does a driveway that size run to, and will anybody drive out for the one job. Two hadn’t committed a dollar yet and were weighing a rental from the hardware store, plus a free Saturday, against a crew that owns the machine. Which one you’ve opened decides what your reply has to do. A person staring at a stain wants to hear whether it lifts at all. A person asking a price wants the number, and the reason it can’t be one flat rate for every house on the block.

The twenty-two worth answering arrived in the same ten words as everything else, and all 50 had to be opened to tell them apart. Nobody bills for that hour.

The rest of it is the street being the street: contractor recommendations, storm damage, a truck parked across a mailbox, and washers comparing tips and surface cleaners with each other. Weighed at one-to-one, a homeowner with a closing date on the calendar writes much the same eleven words as one who is merely annoyed at the concrete, and telling the two apart means opening all 50.

Where to find pressure washing clients on Reddit

The rooms worth ten minutes are organized around the house, never around the trade. Town and county rooms lead by a distance, because a driveway is a job somebody has to drive to and an ask there brings four replies instead of four hundred. Homeowner and home improvement rooms come next, where it arrives as a repair question: whether green lifts off concrete, whether a roof can be soft washed without voiding anything, what any of it does to old wood. Landlord and rental rooms hold the work that repeats, since a turnover between tenants has a date on it and somebody is already paying for the cleanup. Rooms full of other washers hold no customers at all, only nozzle sizes, mix ratios, and the argument about pricing by the square foot. The same homeowners watch somebody attempt it themselves over in pressure washing businesses on YouTube, the next job up the same wall goes to window cleaning businesses on Reddit, and the rest of the list they have been putting off sits with handyman services on Reddit.

The reply that gets the job puts a number on the worst thing in the photograph

A homeowner posting a picture of their concrete has two questions they haven’t typed, and a gallery of before-and-afters answers neither one. The first is whether what they are looking at actually comes off, because they have been told both that everything lifts and that some of it is permanent, and from a porch step nobody can tell rust from oxidation from algae. The second is what the whole place comes to, rather than the driveway they asked about, since the minute one surface is clean the rest starts to look worse. Answer both in the thread. Name what is on the concrete and say whether it lifts, give what a house wash and a driveway together run for a place that size, and say plainly when something has gone too far for washing to save it. Putting a price in public feels like handing the work to whoever reads the thread next and goes lower. It runs the other way, because the homeowner now holds a number from the one person who could explain it, and the truck with no number and no explanation is the one that starts to look expensive.

What finding clients on Reddit actually costs you

Call it ten minutes. Three replies, written before the trailer is hooked up, and less of the morning than the drive to the first stop. It still doesn’t happen, because every other hour of this business turns into a surface you can photograph and this one turns into nothing. A driveway ends in a before-and-after. A roof ends in a homeowner standing in the yard looking pleased with themselves. A month of answering strangers ends in nothing you can point a camera at, so it loses to the quote you promised somebody on Tuesday. Meadowrank gives it something to look at. Every real ask waits under a short match-3 board. The cover clears, the card opens with the house, the words the homeowner used about it, and a reply drafted the way you talk to a person standing in their own driveway. On a fourteen-hour run of jobs, the feed lists the same signals for a little less XP, and a day with no time in it still ends with the streak alive. Points only ever come from replies you actually sent, so a month reads as homeowners you answered instead of posts you read from the truck and meant to come back to.

Do your three. That’s all the marketing today needs.

There is nothing to pay for any of that. Free covers the game end to end rather than a slice of it: the board, the feed behind it, the streak, and five cards dealt each morning out of a pool Hazel restocks before the first tank is filled. $35 a month, or $350 taken a year at a time, turns the shared pool into a Quarry nobody else draws on, and the scan then works the towns inside your drive time, the surfaces you would rather be booking, and the jobs big enough to be worth the setup.

Three steps

How to find pressure washing clients on Reddit, in three steps

  1. 1

Read the town rooms and the homeowner rooms, and leave the washer rooms alone

Take the room for the town you actually drive to and one homeowner room covering the same region, sort both by new, and give them ten minutes before the trailer moves. A thread worth opening has a photograph and a surface in it rather than a question about equipment. The latest pass pulled 50 threads out of town and homeowner rooms, and twenty-two of them held houses somebody wants cleaned. Those few are the entire reason for the ten minutes. Two rooms read every morning find more than ten rooms read on a rain day.

  2. 2

Seed the thread with what the stain is, a band for the whole house, and the surface to skip

Say what is on the concrete in their photograph, since half of these posts are rust and half are algae and the treatment is nothing like the same. Put a band on a house wash and a driveway together for a place that size, then say what moves the number: access, a second story, and how many years it has been left. Then name the one surface you would leave alone, because a washer who says no to something sounds like a washer who knows what the machine does to wood. Three sentences, written under the photograph they already posted.

  3. 3

Capture the demand by keeping count

Three answers a day, sent and counted the way a job gets counted. Meadowrank does the counting. A homeowner’s post comes up as a card with the reply already written underneath it. Points only ever come from replies you actually sent, never a thread you opened while the surface cleaner ran. Drop an address into the watcher at the foot of this page, and the Monday note brings the week’s count for pressure washing with the three asks that deserved answering first, so a busy stretch across your own county reaches you before the phone does.

Try the board

One of them is under the cover. Clear it.

This is the game, at its smallest. A real pressure washing businesses signal from Reddit sits under the cover, the same kind the honeycomb counts. Match three on the cover to strip a layer. The Monday email sends three of these; the board shows you one.

Short on time, or not in the mood to play today? The game also has a feed. It lists the same signals with the same drafted replies, for a little less XP. The board is the fun way in, not the only one.

One real pressure washing businesses signal from Reddit is under the cover. Match three on it to strip a layer.

Pressure washing businesses on Reddit: the practical questions

Won’t I get banned for self-promotion?

Only if you turn up with a price list. What those rooms run on is one neighbor answering another, and naming yourself after somebody has asked for names is the answer rather than an ad. Meadowrank drafts a reply that settles the question about the surface first, and brings your own truck into it only where the homeowner asked who to call.

Is there really enough of this to bother with daily?

A handful a day, and they bunch up whenever the weather turns. The latest pass counted 22 across 50 threads. That is a small number and the right one for a business that can only be in one driveway at a time: three answers a day, and a month of that leaves a few dozen homeowners nearby having watched you explain what comes off and what doesn’t.

Is this scraping Reddit?

No. Hazel puts the same searches into the public site that you would, then reads the results. There is no login involved and nothing kept that a browser would not have shown you. What she takes away is the looking.

What do I pay, and for what?

Nothing to play it, and nothing is fenced off: five cards come off the shared pool every morning. $35 a month, or $350 if you pay for the year, buys a Quarry nobody else draws on, which points the scan at the towns you can reach before nine and lifts the number of cards you can open in a day.

How do pressure washing businesses get clients on Reddit?

By answering a homeowner who has already posted the problem. The person who books you has put up a photograph of their driveway and asked what the green stuff is, and the job goes to whoever named it and put a number beside it. Nothing in the sample suggests a post showing off your own before-and-afters started anything. Three answers a day, in the rooms where homeowners talk rather than the ones where washers do.

Which subreddits are best for finding pressure washing clients?

The room for your own town first and by a wide margin, because whoever posted is already inside your drive time and an ask there gets a few replies rather than a hundred. Homeowner and home improvement rooms come next, where the question is about a surface instead of a contractor and a good answer is the thing that gets remembered. Landlord and rental rooms carry the turnover work, which comes back every time a lease ends. Rooms for the trade itself hold no customers, only other people with machines.

Is Reddit worth the time for finding pressure washing clients?

At ten minutes a day, yes, especially for driveways that arrive by recommendation. At an hour of scrolling, no, and that is the half nobody puts in the course. The latest pass read 50 threads and twenty-two of them held houses somebody wants cleaned. Three replies covers a day like that, and no amount of scrolling would have made it four. That ten minutes earns its place only if the finding is already done by the time you sit down. Like Hazel already does inside Meadowrank.
