Quizzes / How you find clients
How do you actually find clients?
Twelve honest questions about how your work arrives, in the words people use when nobody is selling to them. Then your profile: the four dials that shape how you market, the blind spot that goes with them, the week that fits you, and how many people asked for someone in your niche in the last 30 days, counted from our own crawl.
Real counts from our own crawl. No wrong answers. Or browse every niche.
One of these is you
The Lighthouse
You publish, and the people who already know you see it. Bright, fixed, and facing the sea.
The Prospector
You go and find them. Most of what you dig up isn’t ready.
The Bidder
You rent attention. It stops the day you stop paying.
The Known Name
Your customers bring your customers, and you can’t turn the tap.
The Forager
You’re already out answering people. The question is where, and whether it’s daily.
What the answers move
Aim runs from reach to reply: do you talk to a crowd before they need you, or to one person while they are asking? Ground runs from cold to warm: are the people you contact strangers to you, or did something already connect you? Fuel runs from spend to time: do you buy attention, or earn it with hours? Rhythm runs from swing to steady: does the pipeline lurch, or does something feed it every week?
One of them is under the cover. Clear it.
A real family law attorneys signal from Facebook groups sits under the cover, the same kind the honeycomb counts. Match three on the cover to strip a layer. Free players get one of these every day, opened from the board or the feed.

What the quiz measures
Every freelancer, consultant and small business owner finds clients somehow, and most have never named the method. The quiz names it. Twelve questions, ten of them about how your work actually arrives, in the words practitioners use when nobody is selling to them. Each answer moves one or two of four dials, the dials place you on a map, and the nearest of five archetypes names the region you are in.
The four dials
Aim is whether you talk to a crowd before they need you or to one person while theyâre asking. Ground is whether the people you contact are strangers or something already connected you. Fuel is whether you buy attention or earn it with hours. Rhythm is whether the pipeline lurches or something feeds it every week. No single answer decides a dial. The profile reads the pattern across all ten.
The five archetypes
The Lighthouse publishes and is seen by the people who already know them. The Prospector goes out and finds strangers, and most of what they dig up isn’t ready. The Bidder rents attention, and it stops the day the spend stops. The Known Name is carried by referrals and can’t turn the tap. The Forager is already out answering people in public, and the only question is where and whether it’s daily. Each one has a real strength and one blind spot, and the profile names both.
Where the numbers come from
The last screen isn’t a horoscope. It counts how many people asked for someone in your niche in the last 30 days, which platforms they asked on, and which communities they cluster in. The count comes from our own daily crawl of Reddit, YouTube comments and Facebook groups, scored by the same classifier that runs the Meadowrank board. A niche only appears in the picker once it has a real count this month, so a quiet number is a real number.
The full profile arrives by email: seven sections, the reply guide for the three kinds of ask in your niche, a first reply drafted for the strongest one, and the week that fits your archetype. Five follow-ups go one section deeper each, and you can stop them in one click.
Quiz questions
How long does the quiz take?
About three minutes. Twelve screens: your niche, the platform you think your buyers use, then ten questions with four answers each. There are no wrong answers and you can go back.
Do I need an account?
No. The quiz and the results screen are free and need no signup. An email address is only needed if you want the full profile and the follow-ups.
What do I see without giving an email?
Your archetype, your four dials, the opening of your profile, and your niche counted for the last 30 days with the platform verdict and the communities where buyers cluster. The rest of the profile comes by email.
Where does the niche count come from?
From our own crawl. Every day we read public conversations on Reddit, YouTube and Facebook groups for each niche and score each one with the classifier behind the Meadowrank board. The quiz counts the ones that were a real ask. Nothing is estimated from search volume.
My niche isn’t in the picker. Why?
The picker only offers niches with a real count this month, at least three scored asks in the last 30 days. A niche that hasn’t earned one yet is left out rather than shown with a number that says more about our reading than the market. Try a broader word, or check back after the next crawl.
What is the trial board on this page?
The game at its smallest. One real signal from the niche you pick sits under a cover of tiles. Match three to strip a layer and open the card. In the free game there’s a fresh one every day, with a reply drafted in your voice.
